Seasonal Plant Sales Assistant

Seasonal Plant Sales Assistant required from 22/03/12 to 1/07/12.

Hours: 11am to 4.15 pm Wed to Sat, 10am to 4.45 pm Sunday
25.25 hours per week during term time/31.25 hours per week during School Easter Holidays
Rate of pay: £6.50 per hour

Duties include serving in the plant sales area, operating the till and cashing up at end of the day, displaying and watering stock and assisting in the shop and glass house as necessary.

Farm Tour Guide (Casual)

Hours: This is a casual position with no set hours (as and when needed for visits). Each visit will be a minimum of 2 hours and can take place Mon-Thu between 9.30am-2.30pm

Rate of Pay £6.50/hour.

To help the Education Officer give guided tours to schools and groups visiting Acorn Farm.

Casual Weekend Horse Riding Supervisor

To cover staff holidays and sickness at weekends and bank holidays.
Hours 12.45 -3.15 pm
Rate of pay £6.50 per hour

To supervise the provision of horse rides for visitors to Acorn Farm to ensure that they are carried out in a safe and competent manner.

Volunteer Riding for the Disabled helper

We are looking for volunteers to help us run our riding for the disabled lessons on a Friday morning between 10am and midday.
Previous experience of working with horses is desirable but not essential.

Leading the horses and sidewalking the riders. Helping the riders to mount and dismount.

Volunteer Small Animal Petting Area Asisstant

This is a voluntary position to cover some days during the February half term.[13-17 February]

You will help to show a range of small animals [chicks,ducklings,rabbits,guinea pigs,goats etc]to children visiting the small animal petting area at Acorn Farm.

Cafe Cook [Casual]

9.30 am to 3pm Monday to Friday to cover staff holidays and sickness.
