Acorn Farm Open
03/01/2012Acorn Farm is now open again after the Christmas break. We are open from 10am-4pm 7 days per week.
We have small animal petting sessions and horse rides every weekend: horse rides between 1pm-3pm, petting every half hour from 12pm-3pm (except 1:30).
New admissions booth being constructed
02/12/2011We are currently in the process of replacing our wooden admissions booth with a purpose-built building. As such, there will be a small amount of construction work happening at the farm, but this will not affect our attractions and facilities.
We are open 7 days per week from 10am-4pm and our small animal petting sessions and horse rides will be running at weekends as normal.

We have a range of animals on the farm, including sheep, cattle, goats, pigs, horses, poultry, rabbits and guinea pigs.
If you would like to find out about sponsoring an animal - please see our animal sponsorship page, for that gift with a difference!
Facilities include the farm shop which sells home produced goods like free range meat, home made ice cream and free range eggs. It also sells souvenirs, sweets and drinks. The cafe is open 7 days a week and sells a range of daily specials, snacks and drinks.
ABOUT US
Acorn Farm was created in 1985 on 4 hectares of derelict land, which had once been a tip for builder’s rubble, with a rabbit and two gerbils. It has since grown into an award winning visitor attraction which is home to a wide range of farm animals and employs 28 full time, part time and seasonal staff.
The project has strong roots in the local community and we believe that everyone has a valued social role to play within their community. Therefore at Acorn Farm we are proud to have individuals of different ages and abilities working together as a team in all aspects of running the farm.
